Jul 12, 2023

1. Material
Asphalt shingle: All-weather modified waterproof asphalt, high-strength glass fiber tire base;
Traditional tiles: ordinary 425/525 cement, coarse sand, fine sand.

2. Surface texture
Asphalt shingles: non-reflective under sunlight exposure, true matte finish.
Traditional tiles: The production is relatively rough, and there is strong reflection in sunlight, and its color can hardly be recognized.

3. Flexibility
Asphalt shingles: Waterproof asphalt shingles have good flexibility and are suitable for laying simple or complex roofs.
Traditional tiles: no flexibility, mostly ceramic tiles and glazed tiles are brittle materials. Traditional tiles are easily damaged during handling.

4. Auxiliary materials
Asphalt shingle: There are few auxiliary materials, only nails and asphalt glue are needed for asphalt shingles, which saves the cost of auxiliary materials.
Traditional tiles: wood, nails, buckles, paint, cement and tools are required, which increases the cost of materials and is more expensive than waterproof asphalt tiles.

5. Construction
Asphalt shingle: The construction is simple, just use an ordinary utility knife, no other special tools are required.
Traditional tiles: Cement mortar is required for complex construction, which flows on the surface of tiles during the condensation process, which is not easy to clean and affects the appearance.

6. Applicable roof type
Asphalt shingles: suitable for roofs of any shape, including round buildings.

Traditional tiles: can only be laid on flat roofs, not suitable for today's diverse architectural needs, too many requirements for buildings, not suitable for the current changing social status
