1 Scope of application
1) Suitable for reinforced concrete roofs and wooden (or steel frame) roof systems. The surface of the concrete watch board on the sloping roof should be flat, and the wooden watch board should be treated with anti-corrosion and mothproof measures.
2) Mainly used for sloping roofs of low or multi-story residential and commercial buildings.
3) Suitable for roofs with a slope of 18 ° to 60 °. When the slope is greater than 60 °, fixing measures should be strengthened.
4) When used alone, asphalt tiles can be used for waterproofing levels III (one waterproof layer with waterproof cushion) and IV (one waterproof layer without waterproof cushion); When used in combination, it can be used for waterproofing levels of Grade I (with secondary waterproofing and waterproof cushion) and Grade II (with primary to secondary waterproofing and waterproof cushion).
2 Selection points
1) The main technical indicators that should be considered when selecting fiberglass reinforced asphalt tiles are tensile strength, heat resistance, tear strength, impermeability, and accelerated aging under artificial weather conditions.
2) It is not suitable to use waterproof coating as a waterproof layer or waterproof cushion layer for sloping roofs.
3) When asphalt tiles are used for concrete roofs, the insulation layer should be above the waterproof layer, and the insulation material should be extruded polystyrene board (XPS); For wooden (or steel frame) roofs, the insulation layer should be set on the suspended ceiling, and the insulation material should be glass wool.
4) Asphalt tiles are flexible tiles that have strict requirements for the smoothness of the base layer. They should be tested with a 2m ruler: the surface flatness error of the leveling layer should not exceed 5mm, and there should be no looseness, cracking, peeling, or other phenomena.
